MC Stan Biography In 2024

MC Stan is an Indian rapper and composer from Pune, Maharashtra, whose true name is Altaf Shaikh. Stan was born on August 27, 1999, and was brought up in the slum areas of Pune. He first gained notoriety as an underground rapper in his teenage years by doing local show appearances and building an internet fan base. He will be turning 25 years old this August, 2024. 

His father belongs to the Maharashtra Police department and his mother is a housewife (although the names are not known). He came from a financially weak family and now look at him! One of the wealthiest Hip-Hop artist in India.  

Stan’s music style blends streetwise swagger with introspective lyrics, often drawing from his own experiences growing up in Pune’s streets. His unique sound and energetic live performances quickly gained him a massive following, propelling him to become one of India’s most promising young rappers.

Stan’s older brother exposed him to the worldwide phenomenon of rap music, and at the age of 14, he began rapping. Along with his Bollywood smacks, he’s also well-known for his unique flair on the songs Khuja Mat, Yede Ki Chadar, and Amin.

Before stepping into the world of rap, he was taught Qawwalis, beatboxing and B-boy dancing.
